There is a new Japanese Anime game called Bakugan that kids are going crazy for. The story revolves around the lives of Bakugan and the battle brawlers who brandish them. The TV show was shown in Japan and ran for 51 episodes before coming to the U.S. and showing on Cartoon Network beginning in February 2008. Sega has created a game from the series called Bakugan that has metal trading cards and spring loaded action figures. Kids love to play Bakugan and it is a game that parents should not be afraid of their children being interested in as it gives them a way to interact without video games.
The first step in getting started with Bakugan is the purchase of a Bakugan starter pack. This consists of metal trading cards and spring loaded miniature action figures. The pack provides 6 Bakugan, 8 magnetic gate cards and instructions for playing the game. The starter pack is considered a good deal since buying individual Bakugan would cost far more.
As kids play the game they will eventually decide what their favorite color will be. The starter pack includes Bakugan that are represented by attribute by their various colors. Sub-Terra is brown and represents the Earth. Pyrus is red and represents fire. Aquos is blue and represents water, Ventus is green and represents air. The light is represented by Haos and is a white color. Darkus represents darkness and is black.
Over time your kid will choose what their favorite color is and therefore what their favorite Bakugan will be. At some point you will take notice of what color your child enjoys playing with more. That will allow you be more selective in future purchases of a Bakugan battle pack.
Kids will get much enjoyment out of getting involved with playing Bakugan. They will be forced to use skills that will involve strategy and math. Bakugan is a game that parents should actually encourage their kids to play, which will keep them away from sitting in front of the TV playing video games all day.
