Are you trying to clean your shower curtains? Then you have found a very helpful source. I will simply discuss some few methods that you can adopt and use at your own peril. Take some time to read the article right to the end and you will glad you did.
Chaging the curtains in your bathroom can be quite expensive especially if you are after quality. However, when the liner starts to develop some mold and becomes filled with soap scum – what then?
You can soak it in the bath with bleach and water. Using this method can be quite tricky especially if you are particular about color preservation. I know how I used to be with my brown blue shower curtain.
An option that is less complicated and risky is the washer i.e. simply put it in the washing machine. No matter the make you can just throw it in there and it will come out squeaky clean. Just make sure that it is set at non-rinse cycle and use normal detergent. You should also consider putting a towel in the wash so the towel abrasiveness can help clean it up.
Other than that you can soak it in soda crystals. Compared to bleach this is way better especially in terms of eco-friendliness. In addition it is superior than bleaching because it does not emit ant nasty smell. Just add the soda crystals in a water bath and leave it overnight.
You also have an option to put your contemporary red shower curtain in the wash and substitute the normal detergent with the soda crystals. One of the people I know even used vinegar instead of a conditioner. Note that I haven’t tried the vinegar myself but with so many testimonials I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for you – except for the smell.
