I purchased this software to help me create maps for our congregation. I also like the name and address feature. So far, I’m very pleased.

After using DeLorme back in the early 90s, I went to MS Streets & Trips for several years. Having liked Delorme, I went back after reading their review of Street Atlas 2010 Plus. It is the worst mapping system I have ever seen. It is not only complicated, when I finally figure it out, I usually find that the cartography is so outdated that it wasn’t worth my while. I spent $60 on this piece of poor software, but I am now going to buy the MS Streets & Trips again. I’ve learned my lesson. Buyer beware.

The packaging and description of the “Street Atlas USA – 2010 Plus” leads you to believe that the GPS receiver “LT-40 Earthmate” IS included with this software. The software will not work correctly without the LT-40. The program has a list of GPS receivers that should work with this software BUT it has problems with it’s own “DeLorme LT-20 Earthmate” receiver which is only two years older than the LT-40. I hate to think how it will or not work with other manufactured receivers.
I paid $60.00 more dollars for the LT-40 receiver.
Now that I have the LT-40, the program works wonderful, better than the older, 2008 DeLorme Street Atlas program. The phone number, “Plus” is a wicked tool to have with the mapping program.
