how can I find the value of an antique map?

Question by bcwassane: how can I find the value of an antique map?
I have a 1924 map of Gettysburg/Antietam and another one of Fort Leavenworth Kansas. Both are stamped "FV McKinless"

Kierra February 9, 2012 at 3:36 pm: Try to find something similar to that show on tv called the antique road show. They do appraisals and stuff. Also look in your local phone book for people who do appraisals and try and call them to see if they would do something like that. If it is a true map that is dated that far back I would definately say hang on to it because it probably is worth alot. But I hope you can find someone in your area to appraise it for you.
